Car rental terms in Baku

Everything that is in the rental agreement, in plain words. Questions about a clause? Ask us before you sign.

Documents

  • ID card or passport
  • Driver age from 23 to 65
  • Driving licence held for at least 2 years. With less experience we offer a car with a driver

Rental period

  • Minimum 3 days, with 250 km a day
  • The rental starts when the agreement is signed and the car is handed over
  • Returning the car 4 hours or more late counts as an extra day

Payment and deposit

  • Cash, bank transfer or card
  • Full or partial prepayment; the rental is paid in full at handover
  • Deposit from 200 AZN depending on the car and the driver's age, returned in full when there are no accidents or fines

Included in the price

  • CASCO + OSAGO insurance with a franchise, regular technical inspection
  • Delivery and collection at your address in Baku or Heydar Aliyev Airport
  • Additional driver
  • Free changes and cancellation with 2 days' notice
  • GPS navigation and a child seat (1–7 years) free of charge

Not included

  • Fuel. Fuel left in the tank at the end is not refunded
  • Washing, parking and traffic fines
  • Damage to the body, interior or tyres

Insurance

  • Basic cover has a deductible of 300–1,000 USD depending on the car class, charged only if the renter is at fault
  • Full cover with no deductible costs 20% of the rental amount
  • Only the driver named in the agreement may drive; the driver must be sober
  • Running a red light, heavy speeding or other serious violations void the insurance

Not allowed

  • Driving outside Azerbaijan
  • Smoking in the car: 100 AZN fine
  • Lost key: 350 AZN for a replacement
  • Driving after alcohol: 1,000 AZN fine
  • Off-road driving or hunting trips: 5,000 AZN fine
